The Friendswood Independent School District (FISD) proudly welcomed the return of its dedicated Board of Trustees. Four re-elected members took the oath of office during a special ceremony earlier this month. The ceremony recognized and celebrated the continued commitment of these public servants to the students, families, and educators of FISD.
The Board members sworn in include:
- Tony Hopkins, Position 4
- Rebecca Hillenburg, Position 3
- Niki Rhodes, Position 2
- Laura Seifert, Position 1
Each trustee, serving as an incumbent, was re-elected by the Friendswood community in the recent election. Their dedication to fostering an excellent educational environment will continue to guide FISD’s mission to inspire lifelong learners and empower students to achieve their highest potential.
Superintendent Thad Roher expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are fortunate to have such committed leaders who continually prioritize the well-being and success of every student in FISD. Their leadership and experience provide stability and vision as we continue moving forward as a district.”
The Board of Trustees plays a vital role in shaping district policies, overseeing budgets, and ensuring the highest education standards for all students. With a focus on collaboration and innovation, the re-elected members aim to build on their accomplishments and address the district's evolving needs.
