Friendswood ISD was proud to host local community seniors this morning for a special event that highlighted the district’s achievements, showcased student leadership, and fostered meaningful connections across generations.
Superintendent Thad Roher opened the event by sharing updates on the district’s recent accomplishments and speaking about the vision for the future through the upcoming bond initiative. His remarks highlighted the district’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and community engagement.
A highlight of the morning was a student-led panel featuring current FFA officers, who shared their experiences in the program and offered their insight about how the Agricultural Science program prepares them for life outside of the classroom (or barn), and how FFA is so much more than raising animals.
The event concluded with a creative and interactive activity led by Advanced Ag Science students, who guided guests through a floral arrangement project. Each attendee was able to create and take home their own arrangement, a colorful reminder of the day’s shared experiences and Mustang spirit.
Friendswood ISD is grateful to all who attended and helped make this event a success. Events like these strengthen the bond between schools and the community, reinforcing that Mustang pride spans all generations.
