The Friendswood High School Mustangs battled the Fulshear High School Chargers during their Homecoming game on Friday, Oct. 6 at Henry Winston Stadium. The Mustangs fought a tough game but ultimately fell short to the Chargers with a score of 29 - 61.
During halftime, Homecoming candidates were escorted onto the field for the winners to be announced. The Homecoming Queen candidates were Jai Foster, escorted by Jacob Abebe; Lindsey Freyer, escorted by Kade Stevens; and Kamryn Phillips escorted by Drew Hodson.
The presenter of the mums was FHS Class of 2023 Homecoming Queen Ava Black. FHS Class of 2004 Homecoming Queen Molli Abel Clapp presented Jai Foster with the crown after she was announced as the winner.
The FHS Football Sweetheart candidates included Mia Calles, escorted by Colton Desch; Cambrey Holub, escorted by Sawyer Skeele; and Madison McDuff, escorted by Nate Wright.
Brooke Elmore, FHS 2022 Homecoming Sweetheart, presented Cambrey Holub with a bouquet of red roses after being named the winner.
Trophy and flower bearers included Evelyn Barmore, Isla Barmore, Heidi Hargas, Hunter Hargis, Emilia Maryland and Bailey Smith. All listed are children of members of the FHS 2004 graduating class.
