🏌️♀️Friendswood Girls Golf Secures 6th Straight District Championship!🏆
The Friendswood Girls Golf team continues their incredible legacy, capturing their 6th consecutive district title in dominating fashion! The Lady Mustangs fired a school record 297 on Day 2, finishing with a record-breaking 2-day total of 618 to clinch the district crown and punch their ticket to the Regional Tournament.
The team took control early with a 76-stroke lead after Day 1, and left no doubt on Day 2, extending the lead to an astounding 151 strokes.
Top individual performances led the charge:
- Maggie Kerr – 70 (Day 2), District Champion
- Mary Scheschuk – 72 (Day 2), District Runner-Up
- Kat Janda – 73 (Day 2), 3rd Place
The Varsity B team showed resilience, overcoming a 7-stroke deficit to take home 3rd place overall!
