Tony Hopkins
Tony Hopkins is serving in Position 4 of the Board of Trustees. Hopkins is known for being the Voice of the Mustangs for Varsity Mustang football and an honors graduate of Friendswood High School (class of 1994).
Hopkins is an equity executive specializing in the energy industry.
With a BBA in Finance with highest honors from Lamar University in 1997, Hopkins earned his MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Rice University in 1999. He is a lifetime resident of Friendswood.
He and his wife Sheri have two children, Cooper and Bailey who both attend FISD schools.
Why did Hopkins join the Board: I am a product of FISD and believe it is one of the key reasons for my success in college, work and life. I want FISD to be the same springboard for my children as it was for me. I want to help guide the district’s future and ensure that all FISD students had the same opportunities to excel that I did.
What he hopes to accomplish: I want FISD to be the best public school district in Texas and for the students of the district to be constantly challenged to achieve their maximum potential. I believe FISD must constantly challenge itself and continue to innovate or our students and district will not reach their potential.
