Why did Dr. Montz join the Board: I chose to return to Friendswood to raise my family and have my children attend Friendswood schools because I truly appreciate how this community embraces excellent education and promotes extraordinary opportunities. The exceptional quality of life for families in Friendswood is centered upon Friendswood schools and its tradition of academic and extracurricular excellence. I joined the Board to contribute to the future successes of FISD and the whole community.
What he hopes to accomplish: Our school community is strong because excellence is expected. The basis for my educational and life success was established with my experience attending Friendswood schools. It begins with the parents, teachers, and staff to intentionally create the positive connection with our eager kids to challenge and motivate them to achieve success in doing their best. I offer to bring good quality reasoning and practical resolve in facing the many challenges in leading FISD into the future and make certain that the high quality experience and opportunity continues for all students.
