Thank you for your interest in serving as a substitute for Friendswood ISD. Substitutes play an important role in
supporting our students, staff, and campuses by maintaining continuity of learning when our employees are absent.
We invite you to review the information below to begin the application and hiring process.

Application Process

• Applicants must complete the entire application.
• Applicants must provide three references, including one previous supervisor.
• Applicants must attach the Pre-Employment Affidavit to their application.

Hiring Process
After your application is submitted:

• Human Resources will review your application and references and complete a background check.
• Applicants will be contacted by email if any information is missing.
• Selected applicants will be contacted by phone and/or email.
• Applicants will be required to provide updated fingerprinting if not already on file (at applicant’s expense).
• New hire paperwork will be emailed to selected applicants for completion.
• Approved substitutes must attend an orientation, complete the online Vector training, and pick up their ID badge before accepting assignments.

Substitute Orientation
The next substitute orientation will be held on: Monday, July 21
Additional details regarding time, location and required documents will be provided to selected applicants by email.

Retired FISD Employees
