FISD offers students a waiver process for Off-Campus PE programs. This waiver process allows students to earn credits that meet the district and state physical education requirements.

The belief behind this waiver program is to provide the opportunity to protect the success of an elite athlete or physical competitor from possible injury in the regular PE class.

Participants will be expected to show accountability of skill development, learned physical activity and health concepts and social development through participation in their selected physical activity.

Request for waiver approval of private or commercially sponsored physical activity programs will be considered through the counselor’s office. Call for an appointment.
