Westwood Elementary

Replacing Westwood Elementary will address aging systems, operational efficiency, safety, and overall learning environments. Updating and renovating the nearly 60-year-old building to address all the systems nearing the end of life would cost nearly the same as a replacement.

Total Proposed Amount: $40.625M

Westwood Elementary School was constructed in 1967. A thorough facility assessment was conducted in 2025, and this document outlines the deficiencies and conditions of the campus.

THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.  The issuance of $40,625,000 bonds for the construction, acquisition and equipment of school buildings in the district, including the construction of a replacement Westwood Elementary campus, and the imposition of taxes sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on the bonds and the costs of any related credit agreements.
